Future Proof Citywide brings together more than 4,000 attendees for a multi-day event described as the largest AI-native community in finance. Unlike a traditional conference venue, this event spans across four blocks of beachfront. That means fully outdoors, and on sand.
MPG supported production across three content stages, a dedicated networking environment (Breakthru), sponsor activations, the AI Playground, and a live concert. The environment itself introduced a different level of challenge.
There were no loading docks and no direct truck access. All gear was staged offsite, transferred into box trucks, and delivered one at a time, with a police escort and careful coordination. Equipment was then moved across the sand via forklifts, with all cabling trenched throughout a sloped, uneven footprint.
Simultaneously, the production required tight coordination across multiple stages, tents, and activations, all while managing weather exposure, wind conditions, and local noise restrictions.
This wasn’t just a large-scale event. It was a fully distributed and challenging production environment.
From the start, the approach centered on coordination, planning, and adaptability. MPG provided full AV support, technical teams, and show execution across three content stages, ensuring consistency in audio, video, and lighting despite the challenges of an outdoor beachfront setting.
We supported the Breakthru networking space with both technical execution and content integration, helping create an environment designed for structured connection at scale.
Across sponsor activations and the AI Playground, we provided AV systems, technical oversight, and ongoing support, ensuring each activation functioned as intended within a broader, highly active event footprint.
For the Tuesday night concert, MPG delivered backline and full production support for a multi-artist lineup, including Ryan Tedder and Ezra Ray Hart, coordinating the transition from daytime programming to live performance with ease.
Behind the scenes, every element required intentional planning. From trenching cable runs to managing staged deliveries to adapting setups for wind and shifting conditions, the focus remained the same throughout: keep the experience consistent, no matter the environmental conditions.
Future Proof Citywide delivered a high-energy, multi-layered experience across an unconventional venue without sacrificing structure or organization.
Attendees moved between stages, activations, and networking spaces that felt connected and well-supported. Content remained clear and accessible, even in an open-air, high-traffic environment.
Despite the logistical challenges of building on sand, coordinating deliveries, and operating across multiple active zones, the event ran with a level of control that allowed both organizers and attendees to stay focused and enjoy the experience.
